This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site. We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your purchase orders, and improving our services.

Information Collection And Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name ("Personal Information").

Camera Access

We do NOT store any images or videos from our panelist's cameras. Whole process of capturing data from face and eyes position happens within user's browser and front-end technologies. No video is being recorded while performing test and no images are being stored on server side. Camera is switched off immediately after each test. The data from test will not be used for other goals than research.

Screen Sharing Recordings

For a "Live Website" type of study, our goal is to show participants' gaze and mouse behavior browsing a given website.

It's not intended to save any participant's personal data, so we kindly ask participants before launching the study NOT to provide any personal data while running the test and start the test from an "incognito" browser. This way, on our screen recordings session, the only visible elements are the participant's screen with web-browser opened (in "incognito" mode), gaze estimation, and mouse position.

It may happen that the participant shows a piece of personal data during the test. In this case, he/she can stop the session by pressing the "Stop Sharing" button, and the video won't be saved.

Video files are stored on our encrypted S3 buckets (AWS, Amazon Web Services), which can only be accessed by study owners.

Log Data

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third-party services, such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Intercom, that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service's functionality.

These third-parties may use cookies to help us analyze how our users are using the Service and they have their own Privacy Policies addressing how they use such information.

Personal data is collected where absolutely necessary for the function of our business.

RealEye does not (and will never) sell personal data to a third party. Our business is not about monetizing you or your data through other methods.

Your RealEye account stored data is only accessed when we need to solve a technical issue, support your use of the product, handle maintenance and optimization tasks (performance, UX, UI) internally by our employees.

Is RealEye GDPR compliant?

Yes, RealEye is fully compliant with GDPR. We meet all the aspects of data privacy rules.

The steps we have taken to ensure the correct handling of personal data:

  • Full data audit. We’ve done a complete audit of how personal data is collected and used at RealEye.
  • Privacy policy update. We’ve checked and done minor updates to our privacy policy to include clear, explicit explanations of how and why personal data is collected.
  • Data Protection Agreement (To be published soon). Our customers and any other third parties can request from us a legal agreement, which promises the correct use of any personally identifiable information that’s stored.
  • Providing information about our sub-processors (data processors). A full list of our data processors is available here.
  • Data privacy training for RealEye employee. We’ve trained our employees/contractors with regard to data privacy and GDPR.

Other Compliance

RealEye does not store any credit card information but uses Braintree (a PayPal company) as our payment data processors.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2019/03/28 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically.
