Where people look is incredibly important because it affects what people learn, what they do, and what they buy. A look precedes a click. While working with audience you can never have enough data. Every single input matters as it can be representative for masses.

Do you want to see what your users see?

Have you ever wondered how awesome it would be to see exactly what your users see and not spent a fortune on that?

This is exactly why RealEye was born. Thanks to webcam eye-tracking software you are able to follow your user’s eyes and see exactly what they see while looking at your designs. Combine this data with heatmap analytics and now you have really powerful technology to see users unconscious behavior.

With eye tracking, you can discover where a person looked first, second, third, and so on. Find out what the user considers to be the most interesting part of the screen and how long he or she looked at certain areas. According to studies, you have only 8 seconds to grab attention! You may guess why your users are not engaging, you may try running surveys or ask them directly but only pure data will tell you what is really happening.

How (Real)Eye-tracking works?

Eye-tracking is a innovative method that allows you to track users’ eye movements. HD Camera is watching tester while he’s performing test. The precess begins with calibration, where system is learning how tester’s eyes look like when he’s watching certain parts of the screen. After successful calibration we start measuring eye position while displaying stimuli (your project or website).

RealEye studies are proven to be around 100px (~1.5 cm) accurate with an average error on visual angle of ~4.17 deg. This precision allows to analyze users interaction with designs with precision reaching size of single button.

Using RealEye is really simple:

  1. Add projects, either image files or website URLs.
  2. Run analysis on 20 random testers and get results within hours! You can also invite your own testers with special URL. All they need is a laptop with webcam!
  3. Get results on playable heatmaps. Check sample results page

Eye-Tracking available for everyone

Eye-tracking was out there for a long time but this is the first time it’s available for everyone for friction of price and it's ridiculously simple to use. Eye-tracking heat maps are considered to be the most accurate heat maps as they represent the very first interaction with your project. Using eye-tracking can help you understand users concentration areas and discover what your audience will see. How awesome is to know what’s really eye-catching on your project and which elements are simply stealing priceless customers attention even before releasing your design?

Who will test my designs?

We have network of testers from all around the world. 20 randomly picked users will be assigned to take a look at your designs and we'll record their gaze path. They interaction will be natural as they've never seen your project. Don't worry, we don't do laboratory tests in corrupted environment, most of our testers are their natural environment.

You may still wonder why 20 testers? Just take a look at graph below, when it comes to UX testing, you don’t need thousands of testers. You can easily discover design issues with 15–18 testers!

Make decisions based on numbers not on „what looks better”.
