The support agreement signing date is December 23, 2024.
Thanks to European Funds, we will develop a new technology for conducting eye-tracking research based on accelerated calibration using machine learning.
Funding Agreement No. FENG.01.01-IP.02-2269/23 Utilization of machine learning to enhance calibration and improve the quality of results in webcam eye-tracking research.
The project includes the implementation of: 1. R&D module – focused on developing a significantly improved webcam eye-tracking system based on machine learning techniques and neural networks. This system aims to facilitate calibration and research execution within the webcam eye-tracking service, making the process more accessible and user-friendly. 2. Internationalization module – dedicated to promoting webcam eye-tracking services as an innovative solution for the marketing and education sectors at international trade fairs.
Scope of Work:As part of the R&D Module, three main tasks/phases will be carried out: 1. Development of the initial model • Creating a program for collecting training data • Collecting training data • Developing a program for data export 2. Accuracy testing application and validation • Developing an application for accuracy testing • Conducting accuracy tests 3. Integration with the RealEye.io platform • Preparing the RealEye.io platform for the new engine • Optimizing the model for the web environment • Publishing the solution on RealEye.io • Finalizing the project
Planned Outcome:The R&D Module focuses on developing an improved webcam eye-tracking system that will enable: • Faster panelist calibration before testing – reducing the calibration process from 27 seconds to a maximum of 20 seconds. • Head movement tracking during testing – allowing panelists to move their heads within a ±10 cm range in all directions and planes during the test. • Higher accuracy – improving system accuracy from the current average of 113px to 100px, measured as the average result across a 35-cell screen grid. The company will conduct R&D activities in collaboration with subcontractors and a research institution, ensuring the successful implementation and verification of the project objectives. The Internationalization Module aims to further expand the global reach of the company’s webcam eye-tracking services, specifically the online platform for conducting eye-tracking and neuromarketing/neuroscience research via the internet.
Recieved funds:
The total cost of the project implementation amounts to 5,336,322.68 PLN.
The total funding amount is 2,876,183.60 PLN.
