From August 25th to 29th, the European Conference on Eye Movements (ECEM 2024) took place in Maynooth, Ireland. RealEye participated in the conference and had an opportunity to meet with researchers, learn from experts, and share our latest eye-tracking technology.
RealEye had the privilege to be one of the sponsors of the ECEM conference. Our stand was open on Tuesday and Wednesday, where we demonstrated our online eye-tracking platform. We showed how easy it is to use RealEye for eye-tracking studies with just a webcam, without needing any special hardware. Many visitors were interested in how our tool could help them with their research, and we had some great conversations about potential new uses for our technology. We also distributed whitepapers and articles comparing webcam and remote eye-tracking, giving visitors valuable insights into the strengths of webcam eye-tracking. Our stand featured an array of unique giveaways, including stickers, leaflets, and playful rubber eye balls.
One of the key highlights of our participation was the presentation of the tech demo of our Machine Learning-based eye tracker. It was presented in an interactive and engaging way through the “Hunt the Dots” game. Attendees had the chance to experience first-hand how our ML-based eye tracker functions, offering a glimpse into the future of webcam eye-tracking solutions.
Attending ECEM 2024 was a great way to connect with other people in the eye-tracking field. We met researchers from around the world and heard about many interesting projects. It was inspiring to learn about the various ways people are using eye-tracking: from psychology and clinical research, through language learning, to improving website design.
We want to thank the ECEM organizers for putting together a great event and everyone who visited our stand and shared their thoughts with us. We left Maynooth with new ideas and a lot of motivation to keep improving our platform :) We look forward to seeing you at the next conference!
